Bad Moon Rising

by Maple Tree   Sep 21, 2018

The moon melts these senses of mine
within constant fury, panic sets In,
I've known no fear until now; those
demons come closer after midnight.

My level of sanity has risen a record high
as clear water revives my soul; purifying a heart
that simply wants to love and be loved.

Bad thoughts are molding inside coffee cups
and cigarettes, there's nothing I can do
except listen to this old song and remember
how simple life was back then.

This touches me deeply... There's a song I listen to 2/3 times when I just need to let go of something so I totally get that and the coffee well I'm sure I run low when my stress levels are up but does it really help calm the nerves I'm not so sure. Hugs Andrea, share what strength I have xx

Andrea this is very touching and your way of expressing yourself is is absolutely honest, real and true. The last few lines I can relate so well and I remember them thoughts as well. Life sure was simple then . All the very best to you and hugs.

Andrea, you write from a whole other level. What you do with your thoughts and how you form them into poems, breathtaking...

Life brings us challenging and its those hurdles that hone who we are. They make us consider who we are in the world and why events turn out the way they do.
Andrea, this poem highlights the intensity of your thought processes. It is through the power of writing that we can channel our emotional release, allowing creativity to be a balm for wounds too soon and too raw.

    Hugs xx
