Why Would I?

by Hope   Oct 29, 2018

I could cry because I could die,
why should I? why shouldn't I?
because I should, because I could, because I would......
I'd wander through the brooks;
the meadows and the mountains;
making a simple wish in the fountain,
I'd ponder as I'd wander; for the wish,
ignorance is bliss,
I'd take a prayer, a hope, a wish.....,

believe, but I'd let the twister take me away,
as reality is hard to take,
so, I'm left to fade,
because I'd wander through the brooks,
but I'd take a wonder through the desert,
so, what could be worse when the Earth turns?...
city lights burn and I'd take it all in the cold;
Winter through the soul.....

I couldn't cry because I could die;
in my heart and soul...,
and leave my essential being in the cold.....

why should I?
why would?
why could I?

...but......

why shouldn't I?
why couldn't I?
why wouldn't I?
