Our Identity In God

by Robert Long   Dec 30, 2018

I am Gods
I am his
But the devil comes up
Like soda pop fizz

I am loved
I am more
And I have the holy spirit
Deep in my core

But the devil says this
You're not good
You're not pretty
So I pull up my hood

Then I walk in the darkness
All sad and alone
But God is with me
In every last bone

And we struggle with identity
In every day and age
Who are we in God
Everything but in a cage

So no matter what they say
Just let it pass on through
For God sees everything
And he will always love you

There is always an inner struggle to be fought and the Devil, in one form or another, is a constant foe.

    Take care, Robert.
