Between Time & Space

by Guilty By Design   Feb 13, 2019

I don’t have that many wishes
And I don’t have a lot of dreams.
All I have is a single memory
Of you walking out on me.
They tell me it won’t last forever.
Time has a way of healing things
But this pain I’m going through
Feels nothing short of an eternity.
If I had that kind of magic
Imagine how easy it would be.
I’d snap my fingers and disappear
Into a world where there’s only you and me.

At this time of year live poetry is everywhere. Your poem about lost love returning with a magical snap is refreshing.
    There's always hope.

The cut to the heart when someone you love walks away can be deeper than any other, because it is a personal betrayal of the love and trust you have given them. It may seem like a pain that has no end but the truth is that thankfully we have the ability to love many times over in one lifetime in many different ways so there will always be another love further down the line. One day you will meet someone who will be perfect just for you who will love you just the way you are - usually when you least expect it. Sending you a warm hug. Milly x
