Veils

by Larry Chamberlin   Jul 1, 2019

The veil is lifted from my eyes
yet still I do not see the truth
none so blind to see past lies
as those who refuse naked proof.

When you left all was revealed
reality was ever so very bitter
I’d rather it was still concealed
certainly much would be fitter

Bring back the wool over my sight
pretend that none of this ever was
lead me through the garden bright
love can be as blinding never does.
