You woudn't leave
Yes, your time was brief
But you seemed so strong
And at dawn, you passed on
Maybe you did your best
But couldn't, you hold on?
You no more now
I'm just making a fuss
Yes,
You lied.

    A heart wrenching piece. It's never easy when someone passes. The person in the poem who promised they would stay probably tried as hard as they could to stay but when it is your time there is no stopping the inevitable. I liked that the last line showed acceptance and wished for their soul to rest in peace. Hugs and best wishes Milly x
