Dance Like Never Before (Sonnet)

by Walter   Jul 31, 2019

As we both sit opposite while dining
Where the candle light reflects from your eyes
You are so warm tonight that you're shining
Your beauty impossible to disguise

Slowly feasting from this banquet of food
Dining in the intimacy of home
In our seclusion which now sets the mood
To our romancing while we're all alone

I reach over to your hand as I lead
And you follow while we walk to the floor
Arms suddenly find each other in need
So we can both dance like never before

To the music of our heartbeats playing
Our shared rhythm with which we are swaying
