Friday Nights

by Walter   Oct 11, 2019

Fridays at work are always good
And goes quickly like it should
Though the night has just begun
All my colleagues want to have fun

We're all members of the social club
Around once a fortnight hit the pubs
Toast our meals with a clink
The main objective is to drink

Stresses at work are left behind
And new personas are quick to find
It's a laugh what we all say
Hopefully forgotten by Monday

They're always asking me to go
I've been a few time so this I know
But for me its always the same
Watching everyone play this game

Of course I don't mind a good night out
Though I can think better than drink and shout
So tonight I politely declined
And went home with peace of mind

When I walk in the lights are low
Romantic music is playing slow
You look so gorgeous in your dress
And serve up a dinner to impress

On the balcony by candle light
Because its such a lovely night
Now this so much more my scene
Dining to a fine cuisine

A romantic dinner with your spouse
And you don't even have to leave your house
