More or Less

More Or Less

We are infinitesimal particles of the universe
not owned by the cosmos
nor meant to dominate it also
We’re just vital
happy minute a representative
of it
struggling to survive
No single particle
can ever own the world
nor any part of it young or old

To think so it is an illusion
and creation of confusion
The only choice
the cosmos allows us
-no matter how much we fuss-
is to simply share
the bequeathed abundance
with love and flair

The eternal cosmic sounds
remind us
all through the ages
had we not had nations
we would not have needed
to separate families
and lock children in cages
but the kiss of peace enjoy

The true reality
of this marvel
of universal unity will sparkle
provided there be
less nations
(if not none)
with more civility
and without self-pity

Less prayers
and more good deeds
which one can never exceed

Less fatherlands
and more love
what more can we dream of

Less blaming
and more forgiveness
freeing us from any stress

Less hoarding
and more giving
for reward wound be
a sure thing

More giving
and less taking
thus slowing down
our aging

Less frowns
and more smiles
thus embellishing
our profiles

Less secessions
and more annexations
for they are
the truly best actions

Less greed
and more sharing
for much more
it can bring

No walls
and lots of bridges
for our souls
it abridges

Less egotism
and more altruism
thus eliminating
racism

Less pushing away
and more hugging tight
and may I say
this should be a right

Less weapons
(if not none of them)
and more curing diseases
thus saving lives
and making happy
Hippocrates

Less soldiers
(if not any of them)
but more teachers
of our future the forbearers

Less fighting one another
but more learning from each other
so that our progress
could go much farther

Stop speaking of hell and heaven
for the true paradisiacal spot
I emphasize once again
lies on living with love and peace
as long as we can
and make our lives a masterpiece

We are infinitesimal particles
of the universe
how could we have caused
so much damage
and become so perverse?
