Him

by DarkNDangerous   Nov 29, 2019

Staring down at the darkness,
But he stares right back.
Truth burns through my eyes,
All I see is black.

The memories are vivid,
Back to when I was smaller.
Stab reality right through me,
Flash floods of blinding color.

The mind wraps and contorts,
Protection is key.
Nothing bad has ever happened,
Who even is he?

His touch shatters locks,
My skin turns cold.
Frigid hands warp my insides,
For doing what I was told.

Nothing makes it better,
Not even time.
My breath hitches for normalcy,
Ever since his crime.
