Ignore

by Broken Inside   Jul 12, 2004

Go into my room
Lock the door,
Ignore the screams,
They do not mean anything.

My parents are abusive,
They enjoy a thing called pain.
Never let them sense my fear,
Just ignore them, and pretend their not there.

I have no friends,
They don’t understand me.
Even if I tried to tell someone,
No one would listen.

It is too bad.
I could have been saved.
Instead I have fallen into a world
Of pain and burning heartache.

What would someone do if they knew?
It’s an easy question,
But a hard answer.
If only someone cared.

Months later, my parents are gone without a trace,
I finally get the help I need,
A foster family took me in,
A brand new life to lead.

No matter what, I’ll never forget.
The memories of the past
Will haunt me forever
Never to be erased.

**Not about me! It's really sad though when this happens to people when it could be prevented, or maybe it can't. Comment and rate please!**
