Unaware

Unaware

I paid a fortune just to know
Where Happiness can be found
I was told that above the snow
The mountain top it crowned

From my deep valley I rose
And years to there I spent
Till I reached with bare toes
The summit with big content

But no Happiness did glare
Cold, tired, all by my own
Down the valley I gave a stare
My Happiness glowed down there

I loved the way you put our search for happiness in life, sometimes we think we need another place to be happy but we're right where we are meant to be and the title is really good for the message of the poem. Most of the time we are just unaware of the blessings that sorround us. A great read.
