Desire to escape

by mysticalpisces   Aug 6, 2017

I have a desire to escape
just for a short while
lose myself somewhere,
whilst displaying a smile.
Perhaps in a forest,
with iridescent trees
pierced by the sun,
swayed by the breeze.

Night fall will bless me with it's presence,
the moon will arrive,
this is the significant time
that I come alive.
The peaceful silence,
a melody to my ears,
I feel at home,
as though I've been here years.
Subconsciously maybe I have been..
after all, my mind is always in another place
dreaming of what could be
if I were to escape.

The serenity of aloneness,
the tranquillity of peace
lost in a personal paradise
negativity ceased.
An appealing fantasy,
alleviating dread,
a significant opportunity,
for me to clear my head
to nourish my soul
and release draining energy
replacing it with the most
beautiful memories.

I will run as fast as I can,
with the rhythm of nature,
the moon guiding me,
on my cleansing adventure.

This literally resonated throughout every fibre of my being. I have had much the same thought over and over throughout my life: to just be free - completely. Nominated.
