Certain Morals

by Cantchangeme   Feb 21, 2020

Laid here is so strange
A place without a door
Pin cushions and pornography
Who could ask for more
Certainly not you

Reading fluorescent signs
Through your bleeding sores
Rape scenes and sodomy
Who could ask for more
Certainly not me

Breathing feels so stressful
Fools gold turns to rust
Killing sprees and geometry
Now who are you to trust
Certainly not you

Sounds of all the strays
Angels fear their lust
Fellatio and lobotomy
Now who are you to trust
Certainly not me

    Hello cantchangeme,
This is a truly excellent piece of poetry, especially so: 'Killing sprees and geometry'. You have a wonderfully keen insight into the art of poetry as expressed here, in four splendid stanzas.
    A gem!
    Kind regards, Tony.
