Always Fussing

I had an old 1972 Chrysler Newport for my first car.
I loved that car.
It was probably bigger than my current bathroom.
When I packed to go off to Michigan State University I put my Schwinn ten speed in the trunk fender to fender and closed the trunk.
That car was so big that on a good night I could get three of us in the front seat and five in the back.
It had a 400 cubic inch engine that took gas out quicker than I could put it in.
But I loved that car.
A lot of good things happened in the backseat of that car.
I remember one night I ran over a tree branch and it got caught somewhere in the middle around the transmission.
Dragging that tree branch down the road was the most irritating sound I had ever heard.
Even my 8-track stereo couldn't drown out the sound.
I stopped, got out and reached under all four sides of that big ass car and couldn't grab enough to pull that branch loose.

Taking you around with me all these years reminds me of that screeching noisy tree branch .
I know you are saying something but it's always fussing and just never makes any sense.
I don't have that old 8-track stereo anymore but it probably wouldn't make any difference my CD Player won't drown you out.

I have bad ringing in the left ear, soon I won't know if it's you fussing or the doorbell ringing.
