I disagree, this poem is full of life!

I second that this poem is full of life. There's that frustration, feelings untold, and that anguish... a poem does not have to be brimming with imagery and this bubbly energy. Sometimes, our verses are cold, harsh, because we feel that in our own lives.

Your metaphor in this is haunting because there's that struggle as to why you can't get the words out. Is it a death of your spirit? Of hope? It makes me think how the mind can poison our thoughts until they're all muddled, and we can't seem to do or say or be ourselves the way we used to.

These few lines said so much. Glad you shared this with us.
