This is my first attempt at writing Deutsch poetry. It's not actually a "poem", but I wanted to share, to get some critique hopefully. Please correct my mistakes or typos, if you speak Deutsch. I can't add smileys here, but imagine the begging hands smiley.
There it is:
Du bist ein junger Star
in einem rücksichtslosen Raum.
Ich sehe zu, wie du
die Dunkelheit um dich herum
in strahlenden Frieden kaust,
und du gibst
traurigen Kreaturen eine
rätselhafte Szene, auf die Sie in
harten Nächten starren
können.

For Aram
You're a young star in
a ruthless space.
I watch you chew the darkness
around you into
glowing peace, and give
sad creatures an enigmatic
scene to stare at,
through tough nights.
