Masquerading as an Angel

by Glenn G   May 17, 2020

Years ago I met an angel
An answer to my prayer
I went for a haircut
She was working there
We made small talk
Small talk led to a date
Soon I could never see her enough
I just didn't want to wait

She said she had been wounded
And couldn't use but one wing
I knew my love for her was stronger
Than if she lacked anything
We were married
She became my wife
I loved her so much
And, we built a good life
I thought the two of us were one
But when her wing healed she flew away and was gone

2 Corinthians 11:14
And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.
