Clematis

by cassie hughes   May 29, 2020

Candystripe petals peek
through deep green leaves
whilst tendrils twist and twine
their slender fingers amongst
nut brown branches.
A ballerina in attitude derriere,
stretching out to seek the sun
her skirts ruffling gently
in the barest of breezes.
My beautiful Nelly Moser.
