    I LOVE the way you so intentionally used the semicolon here. It stands out so singularly to me and is the perfect transition to the last line.

    Falling into the darkness, hoping for another chance, where we can be on steady ground again, re-connected with life.... such meaning in so few lines!

    I felt uplifted in this, because I too, knows what it means to forget or not be able to remember what being alive means. Being so distant from it, yet realizing I can try again. The simple hope of another "breath" speaks volumes. Another shot at life, and how human it is to fall down, to lose sight of land, to feel like we can't keep holding on... and knowing we have to keep the hope that we can be offered an anchor, another start.
