Monarch (Butterfly)

Poisonous beauty.
Spreading lauded wings
To state your claim.
Those sun bright colours
both a lure and a warning
whilst under milkweed
pale larvae thrives,
Digesting voraciously
to ensure toxicity
before metamorphosis evokes
interminable fluttering
in the rush for relocation
to warmer climes.
Regent of the swarm.
Enduring
Exquisite.
