twilight fades like a trail
into the cavernous wind-kissed sky
we lie interlaced on translucent clouds
mirrored silver.
our voices curl the edges of night.
love gazes us in the eye
from the stairwell of soft surrender.
mild zephyrs carry us
into the vast grey yonder
and we soar
towards the white fire of stars...
