Strawberry (Acrostic)

by cassie hughes   Sep 7, 2020

Summer in a single bite
that lingers in the mouth
reverently like sunshine
atoning for its palid
weakness in spring.
Beyond heavenly
each bright berry hails
return to halcyon days
ripe with sweet promise
yet to be fulfilled.
