Sanctum Secretum

by Cantchangeme   Oct 7, 2020

In the dark doth slither and claw
A hungry servant with open maw
Skull capped eyes ply disdain
Non sequential, non binary brain
Beyond humour lies pity and disgust
Opens portals to the world of dust
Of the consciousness that binds the wall
Absent angels bely the coming fall
Saints that bury a truth that sinners save
As the savvy demon of the western cave
Morning stars in search of shimmering love
Held in contempt by those who would sit above
Rapturous lovers’ sacred heavenly highs
Secreted away from those that despise
In the light this day doth dwell
But in the night their secrets tell
