Jennifer, Such Rapture, You Enchant With... (Bowlesian Sonnet)

Jennifer, Such Rapture, You Enchant With... (Bowlesian Sonnet)

Jennifer, Such Rapture, You Enchant With.
Such Sheer, Utter Heaven Your Presence Is.
Stupefied, You Leave Me, Spellbound, With Bliss.
There's, Nothing, Out There, To Match, Your Magic.

Transfixed, You Leave Me, As No One Before,
Enthralled, Fascinated, Charmed, Ever So,
Engrossed, In The Ecstasy, You Bestow.
Bewitched, Totally, I Am, By Your Lure.

The Though Of You, Alone. Makes Heart's Take Flight.
Your Smile, Like The Sweetest, Of Lullabies.
Floating, You Leave Me, Upon Clouds, On High.
You Are, A Goddess, In Whom, I Delight.

No Rhapsody, As That, Which You Induce.
Venus, Aphrodite, Long, To Be You...

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDDC EFFE GG

I wrote one of these and to answer Michael's question, iambic pentameter is usually a requirement and the rhyme scheme is typically ABBA CDDC EFFE GG so just that first stanza that needs looking at. But as mentioned, lovely either way and never easy to accomplish.

Hello Robert, this is a lovely tribute to your lady.

I have never written one of these sonnets. The Shakespearean sonnets that I have are written using iambic pentameter. Does the bowlesian sonnet require this, as I can see this is missing in yours. Regardless of this, this sonnet could not help anyone understand your complete and utter devotion for this lucky lady.

    thank you for sharing.
