The Ceiling Fan, The Curtain And The Floor

by Everlasting   Dec 25, 2020

the tragedy, the love, the tragedy!
This will be found in the following story:

Once upon a time, a ceiling fan
slowly oscillated, sending off a breeze of kisses
to a curtain.

the curtain, so pink in nature,
was gently moved by the kisses while the wooden floor
became refreshed with the breezes

one day, the curtain opened up
to let the light of the sun bless their love
then with a touch
the ceiling fan started to crazily spin off
while the curtain tried to calm him down
they became tangled, interlaced
knotted together for what seems to be
the rest of their lives

In minutes, the ceiling fan
fell to the ground, and the floor
preoccupied, caught him in her arms

The curtain broken was thrown to the trash
while the ceiling fan was fixed
to blow kisses to the floor forever more

Lucero, this is wonderfully creative. The way you've woven the fan, curtain and floor together is pure genius. I love it and will put this in my favourite poem stash to read again and again!
