The light dripping -

by Skyfire   Feb 26, 2021

The clouds sweep over the mountains
like thick cottonwood seeds
tangled in the wind
letting the light peek through
their downy fingers
cradling the warmth
as it seeps down
and drips onto my skin

I wonder if I open my mouth
will it have a taste?

It speckles along my fingers
and I play the bright splashes
into notes that I drum
silently into your palm
