Chinese Takeaway ( English Sonnet )

by Everlasting   Jun 1, 2021

When toddlers keep you busy through the day
By screaming, crying, pulling on their hair,
And laundry basket it’s full all the way
With dirty clothes up here but also there
Just breath the stress “in and out” of your lungs
Ignore the dirty dishes in the sink
Just focus your attention on your sons.
Today they need their mom much more I think.
Tomorrow when they grown you’ll have the time
To clean and have the cleanest of the houses
For now just take it slow. It’s not a crime.
Remember to rely too on your spouse.
So if dinner can’t be cook for tonight
Just call your spouse to pick up food, alright.
