Spark To Flames

by Walter   Sep 3, 2021

A candle lit will softly burn
The flame will glow and slowly yearn
And flicker in the gentle breeze
But stays alight and does with ease

Both our shadows it would cast
Upon a wall in high contrast
As if we're watching a live play
Our every motion on display

The night so cold but flames will cure
Our shadows blend, within this lure
Like the candle, our love ignites
And in our hearts is burning bright

Where love mimics a candle stick
Our blood the flame, our veins the wick
And lips which first produce the spark
Our love foreseen would now embark

This is how love's journey starts
An eternal flame in both our hearts
And if the breeze is fuelled with doubt
Our spark to flames will not burn out
