A Place By the Sea

At a place by the sea, pelicans in flight float above low cresting waves.
Beloved souls of my life, past and times, together, lightened by sublime dawn.
The burning, slumbering orb pulled from the horizon,
guarded by voluminous crimson clouds cascading upwards and upwards.
Confessions of what was lost, I saw footprints in the surf erased and remembered.
