Ponies (2017)

Ponies are silly
This is true
There are purple ones and blue ones
And orange ones too

There are pink ones and yellow ones
And many many more
But once you look away
They walk through the door

They watch you as you sleep
But not in a creepy way
They tend to watch over you
And cherish you each day

You may not want to tell
But these are unicorns and pegasi
They actually are really sweet
And you may feel the need to fly

Little Ponies (2021)

Little ponies are silly
That is the honest truth
With their soft coloured fur
and thick manes that go POOF

I used to be obsessed you know?
But I was only very young
I used to laugh and sing and dance with them
To me, it was fun

I used to think theyd watch you
And make sure that you were well
What went through my creative mind?
Not even i could ever tell

But alas, it is over now
The show has met its end
It taught me one thing though I'll admit
And that's how to treat a friend

So, I was looking through my books and managed to stumble across an old book from 2017 which was filled with poems from many different schools in my area. I remember writing a poem for the book and scanned through it until I found mine. Of course it was about ponies. I decided to rewrite it for fun just to compare my improvement and I do have to admit, I feel that since I now have a lot more experience with writing poems, I have gotten a lot better. It's something I'm proud of :)
