Moonlighting

by Walter   Nov 29, 2021

When the moon cannot hide
In the mist of the night
It still casts your shadow
With just its faint light

No matter the distance
I see you so full
And your lure is still felt
Like gravity's pull

The lonely nights pass
For you I'm still here
Your shadow is fainter
As you disappear

The moon just a crescent
As if a thin slice
I will still hold you close
For me it's suffice

When now a new moon
Your shadow has gone
But I still feel your lure
And is why I hold on
