Obscure

I live in a vessel
But I'm not my home
Though you're in a castle
You're not made of stone

In a similar way,
I am not just my form
I merely reside
While I wait out this storm

I don't disagree
That my shape fits one mold
I simply believe
That's not all that I hold

And given a chance
I would change how I'm made
Add some things on
And take others away

Renovate so that
I'm comfortable in
These bones that I carry
And I fit my skin

Please be aware
That I'd rather forgo
Being perceived as
My gender alone

I'm merely Obscure
Not a girl, not a boy
Please don't call me either
(You'll only annoy)
