Reminiscing

Someone said
you cannot do it
forget it

Another said
you
could have made it better
and even wrote to me
a letter

Could I have made
a better choice
whispered my inner voice

Perhaps
I could have been happier
in another way
sometimes
I am tempting to say
today

But
when I stop to thinking
about life’s true purpose
I realize
that as it is
all
is just marvelous
