I dream of you when you are far
as some exceptional bright star
who shines unlike the rest at night.
You are a luminous delight.

so when I’m here alone, ajar
just looking back at my own scars
a light from you secures my sight
I dream of you

And then this pain bids au revoir
from this my heart that has been charred
by years gone by like dynamite
but even so I humbly write
that when you’re not with me my star
