It's Been A While

It's been a while since I've been here,
The first time I joined has been well over ten years.
So much happiness then in this club I found,
Friendships, encouragement , love with no bounds.

Everyone had a bond,
Poetry it was...
I felt like I fitted,
Like a hand in a glove ....
Two dears friends here have passed since,
Real warmth they gave,
Comradeship, their all, to their very grave.

I miss them now, happy times I reminisce,
This place my solace , when things in life where amiss....
I poured all into my poems,
My feelings, despair.
And by it my heart began to repair.

I'm stronger now and blessed by God above,
Life's been good, and blessings He has shod,
Just wanted to drop by here once again...
And put again together, paper and pen.
