Time Will Tell

I made a wish upon a star
And now I'm left with just a scar
I thought my wish had came true
But maybe some never do

I kissed you first on that night
Your eyes reflected all it's light
I thanked the heavens up above
For believing I found love

But some things are not meant to be
It might take time before you see

Of nightmares and your wildest dreams
Half our time I held you close
And also half where we oppose

But there's no-one that we can blame
If love becomes too hard to tame
Because love is more than just one side
It's darkness it will often hide

When wishing to a star so bright
The speed it beams is still finite
It might take years before you'll find
And hence the reason...love is blind
