Broken Mirrors

Do you remember our dawn
where awareness first
became aware of itself?

Do you remember
our heartbeats
lost in the chest of forsaken children,
never again belonging to us?

Do you remember our shared heart
before
it was like a broken mirror,
all shattered apart,
but like worms
each, crawled within
to assume the missing part,

to be the only remnant
to redeem remaining remanence?

Do you remember God
mythologically and meritoriously emerged
in each shatter,
to become whole again,
to resume its completeness,
in each shatter,

for in each and every broken piece,
the reflection
was unbroken and outright?
