Reflections

The mirror never lies
That's what people say
But what your eyes choose to see
Is not what's on display

I know you can't see past
To look at just your skin
And ignore what makes you whole
Your beauty that's within

I see you standing there
Like looking at a stranger
I know the thoughts that's on your mind
Wishing you could changer her

If only that you knew
And just learn to accept
Because when I see you with my eyes
I think you are perfect

The image that you paint
That's burned into my mind
You are so gorgeous, can't you see?
I think that you are blind

If only you'd believe
A mirror does not lie
Why can't you see the girl I love?
Instead of just deny

When I look at you
Your looks will never age
Because I'm in love with all of you
And not just what's on stage

    Hello,

a nice neat rhyming poem with a strong relevant message - beauty is only hidden if your eyes are closed to it.

    Thanks for sharing this.
