Dancing With Fireflies

by Golden AnGel Rhapsodist   Apr 15, 2023

From the moisture of the soil and blades of the grass

There are little fairies willing to arise.

From the glowing pupa into small fireflies

Emitting no heat the little beetles "cold light".

As I saw these little bugs arose from the ground

Danced in the air to the tune of the night sound.

The use of flashing sign to choose their pair

The most amazing thing to know about them, I swear.

Dance in the air and with the trees

Fireflies come and dance with me.

Very nice, Gel. Nice to see you post on here again. The closest thing I've seen to fireflies is glow worms. Maybe one day I'll get to see them, but this poem described them nice enough for now. Thanks :)
