Woodland Escape

She feels the ground sigh beneath her
As she weaves in and out of trees so tall,
Their trunks whisper for her caress, but she prefers
To listen to their gentle call,
Because if she were to touch, she would never let go,
And her soul would saunter away with her heart in tow.

Moonlight pours through their leaves with grace,
Its reflection captured within the grasp of a flowing river
That serenades a precious being who rests in the embrace
Of a goddess who shows love in her night's beautiful silver.
Ebony skies beckon softly as starshine ensnares her attention,
Allowing for sights too heavenly for comprehension.

The green of the grass and the vibrancy of the flowers
Bring her to tears as a smile plays on soft lips;
She dances within her elements, enjoying each encounter
With the friendly sprites that thrive beside her, their presence a gift.
She steps on stones to listen to their stories,
And relishes in all their glories.

The snaps of twigs, the crinkle of leaves,
They echo enchantingly within the heart of the forest -
Quietly, she listens to the breeze
As it whispers secrets while all the sounds become chorused.
The nymph falls irrevocably in love with the woods and the night,
And as the sun rises, she fades into the shadows and awaits with delight.
