Plain to See

I see you in front of the mirror
And so often I'll watch you frown
Whenever we're dressed to go out
A night out in the town

When you seem so stressed with your makeup
You're determined to try and impress
But I think you're beautiful without it
I don't know why you obsess

Your lips are natural and gorgeous
Why paint them with colours so bright?
I prefer your warm glow of softness
Their hue stands out in the night

Your eyes are so hypnotising
Why distract them with lashes so dark
When it is their natural alure
Which fuels my positive remarks

Your smooth and soft glowing skin
With foundation you try to replace
It's like I'm watching a total stranger
Whenever I look at your face

No doubt that you are beautiful
And I'm sure that eyes will look twice
But to me you're naturally gorgeous
And never need no more to suffice
