Seasons of Love

by Walter   Jul 20, 2023

If love was like the weather
With four seasons for its moods
It wouldn't be all sunshine
Where the rest we'd just exclude

As every moment's special
Each with its own appeal
Just as love has many emotions
At some point that we feel

You remind me of spring
With your fragrance in the air
Your warm skin that would glow
From the sunlight glare

To see you walk is tranquil
And watch your shadow mime
As you are in your element
And stunningly sublime

You remind me of summer
When the heat is building high
You're glistening from the ocean
Not wanting to stay dry

To see you in slow motion
When the sun at full noon
Then back into the water
Because you're not immune

You remind me of autumn
Just as the fallen leaves
Are tranquilly gliding
Within the gentle breeze

Contrast is the colours
Between the red and green
And highlights all your beauty
Remaining so serene

You remind me of winter
As rain begins to fall
Not wanting any shelter
Beneath it standing tall

Refusing an umbrella
And outside you remain
Where you will conquer anything
By dancing in the rain

You never mind the weather
Which might be forecast
The outcome never changes
When love is made to last

No matter what the season
True love will not decline
Because when facing all the elements
I always see you shine
