Hope doesn’t Wither

a rose i drench with love
in hopes it’ll wither not
but Time and Time again
it shows to me in vain
that death is immanent

But oh, oh Love, sweet Love
i trust that you alone
might change what Time has paved

For I just wish to walk
throughout that path with you
And see the rose has wither not

    If Hope and Love cannot save a rose from withering, perhaps nothing can. I hope you manage to drench at least one with these two things so that it blooms forever, Lucero.
    This has a Shakespearean feel to it and was a pleasure to read.
