Natural Disaster

by Kitty Cat Lady   Aug 31, 2023

Love is a natural disaster,
There's no way you won't fall,
You know that something's going to break,
But it's out of your control.

There is no way to stop it,
No safety helmet here,
No way to minimise the risk,
The consequences clear.

Proceed with extreme caution,
Your mind no longer rules,
This game's not played by clever folk,
Reserved only for fools.

And while your heart plays fast and loose,
With all that you hold dear,
Any sense your life once made,
You now watch disappear.

Kitty, I agree: love isn't the safest game to play, but like all gambles, it's great if you win! On the other hand...
    Great stuff.
