Sleeping Beauty

by BOB GALLO   Jan 4, 2024

Like a little sparrow
lost in the rain
I am
absolutely at your mercy,

like a feather
weightlessly waltzing with the wind,

like a little word
in awe
of the sublime
in the world of purest feelings,

like a caught butterfly
in the bottle
of your beauty,

be as gentle to me
as creation has been
in
creating you,

for as much as a bloom
opens the Eden's gait,
her fading pushes you
into the abyss of despairs.

Let your beauty kiss
my sleeping eyes,

for life only goes on
when we identify ourselves
in each other,
as
each other.
