Self-Regard

by Jenna Bella Oldridge   Mar 19, 2024

Scars are relics I touch with reverence.
Fingers traverse across these marks,
I am touching the present not the past.

Here with the cicatrix not the wound.
In poignant relfection, connected but unobsorbed by my past, able to be present with myself at last.
