Passing Attraction

by Walter   May 6, 2024

Sometimes the moon will speak to me
Just as you do with words
But the way she talks is so softly
Not even whispers heard

It's like I feel her tug my heart
Whatever phase will pass
Which has me caught within her spell
That only you surpass

I notice you share the same trance
The way you glow at night
Your warmth I feel radiate
Needs no other light

The way you let me read your mind
When your orbit brings you near
The way I long for your return
When you disappear

Sometimes I feel you both are one
And share the night and day
The times the moon is only there
I never will betray

Because the beauty of my moon
Is looking in your eyes
And if I cannot find you there
It's then I search the skies

Whatever phase you're going through
Your orbit has me caught
My love will never let you go
Even when you're naught

I always know that you're still here
Although my eyes don't see
This is why I share you with the moon
Where our love is gravity
