Dad Died

Dad Died,
And there was a pause in the matrix;
A heart, lung, and brain,
Clinging to the theatrics.

Dad Died,
How does it equate?
When testosterone surges,
Laying to a future that disintegrates?

Dad Died,
Was he the Master of the Universe?
And I'm a peasant, a pauper,
An ignoramus that cannot traverse?

Dad Died,
Did I do it intentionally?
I mean-willed prayer,
Delivered venomously.

Dad died,
And now I can breathe fresh air,
So, the gambler had to fold,
But the son was always aware.
