The Ghostly Whispers

by Rowena Linley   Aug 20, 2025

Day is fading it softly bows
The ghostly whispers rise somehow
A shiver rides the starlight's brow

When the day bows out so slow
The light forgotten left to go
Dreams take flight in shadows' flow

The sky dims low the sun lays down
Night wears a deep and velvet gown
A hush descends on this quiet town

From towers tall they’re freed tonight
The dreams take shape beneath moonlight

When the day bows out so slow
The light forgotten left to go
Dreams take flight in shadows' flow

Locked in towers through the day
They wait to dance where shadows play
Mysterious tides will pull away
Till dawn returns to claim its stay
